Where the time and money were leaking
Field representatives visited sites across the country and head office had no reliable picture of where they were or what happened on each visit. Attendance, expenses and sample handovers lived in paper forms and message threads. A part-built app already existed but had been handed over mid-flight — undocumented, partially broken, and running against live production data with real users on it.
- 1
Re-verified every claim in the inherited audit by hand before changing a line — its own detectors had returned false clean results on collection counts, screen inventory and release state.
- 2
Modelled one data layer against four different jobs: role drives the entire navigation tree and query scope from a single build rather than four apps.
- 3
Designed the rep screens for a corridor, not a desk — clock in, pick the site, log the visit, capture the expense, with heavy work deferred and retried rather than blocking the person in front of a customer.

Built live tracking, travel maps, team activity and reporting as a distinct management surface, plus a separate browser panel for the customer-service role that never needed the mobile app.
